Charlie is his name.
Beagle/Pit mix.
Two months old.
Learning to potty train.

Isn’t he just the cutest, I’m reading up and hearing that he’s going to get bigger… Not too happy about having a huge dog, but he’s changed my mind about that… I am thankful that I did wait though for the right puppy instead of moving fast like I normally do… 🙂

Day 22:

How have you changed in the past 2 years?

I feel that I answered this question on day 18…. Except it was one year…

I work harder now.

I am calm but still will pop off.

I am HAPPY. Wholeheartedly Happy.

I love me more.

I am looking at Ph.D programs.

I am not as materialistic.

I don’t shop all of my emotions away.

I get shy at times.

I don’t care as much about what people think.

I still have a love hate relationship with the gym.. LoL (no change there) but I have made healthier lifestyle changes

What about you?

Being True to Who YOU Are

Since I’ve been blogging one thing has been consistent… the same… Doing the best I can to be and embrace who I am, not what others feel what or who I should be.

My second workshop title was “Embracing Who You Are”

We talked about getting and becoming comfortable with yourself. If you feel that you have to hide the real you then whats the real issue? I am real good about expressing my views and who I am with friends and strangers…but when it comes to family, I get all quiet tuck my tail and walk away from the issue.. I can no longer continue to do so. I also should not feel like I have to continue to fight with and defend who I am to ANYONE… I am growing and coming into my own.. This topic can transfer to many topics and different relationships.

Communication is important but is difficult…. if you have not been taught how to properly communicate…

PLEASE don’t take that as you do not learn. make sure if you do not know how to communicate, you take that in strides and learn…

If you feel like you cannot be yourself around people, or feel that you have to explain you to others stop and look inside to figure out why.  Once grown, you don’t have to answer to anyone… Remember that!

How do you deal with being your true self no matter what?

Jessie J singing Who YOU ARE acoustic ….a  song that I LOVE soooooo much… Listen to the words. Please..

Losing Yourself..

When you meet someone and you hit it off immediately, the connection is there what does it mean when you want to spend every waking moment with that person…… Let’s act as if we do not know what that is or what it means. Lets take it back to the basics…

Infatuation.

Isolation.

Stingy.

Obsession.

Are some of the words we can use for when you meet someone and you forget about everyone else who is in your life. You’re getting to know the person, inside and out, possibly having sex depending on how slow or fast you decide to move and then depending on what the status is you start to get all these fuzzy emotions that may have not been there as soon as they are if you hadn’t had sex…

Let’s face it.

Sex brings about plenty of emotions and it changes things..

So how do you avoid loosing yourself?

One misconception of the LBGTQ “lifestyle” that I want to get rid of is that lesbians are attracted to all women, we have a type as well.

Help make them aware of the diseases that you can catch as a gay youth..and what ways to protect themselves.

Do you think that you were born gay?
Good question, I am still unsure of that.

How do you feel about religion being the basis of homosexuality bashing?
There are still those that use religion as a basis for bashing, people will always pick and choose parts from the bible or Koran or whatever your religion is to make a point.

Do you have children? If yes, how do you “successfully” parent being LGBTQ?
No I do not, but I have raised a few and I am truthful and honest about everything I am and everything I do.

I pray a lot, and I maintain a positive attitude thru the most negative times.

Services I Offer.

I have been mentoring youth since I was 15, while still apart of the youth crowd. I started with the community cheerleading team and never stopped… mentoring is something that I take serious, because our youth are being misguided. I will never stop mentoring the youth because they are the future of America. From drama filled reality tv shows to sex being everywhere you turn your head something that has to give. Having positive women and men in our youth life’s they will be better prepared to face the world.

I have different services that can benefit different personalities:
Mentoring, Blogging, Facilitating and Presenting workshops on topics like Self-Esteem, Self-Worth, Sexual Abuse, Childhood Sexual Abuse, LGBTQ issues (many others but these are the main topics)… I speak about my life growning up and the obstacles that I overcame. I am currently working on ebooks and preparing to write my memoir. I just finished school, so my schedule has more space for clients and events….

I say all of this to say, that I am qualified. Simply because of what I have gone through growing up! I am following my passion and the words of God. I was put here to help, I went through what I went through so that God could use me as a vessel.. (click on my about me page to read more about what I went through) I help others heal through issues they have now and have had since childhood. Some individuals go through life ignoring issues that are obvious to others but not themselves. They are not obvious because they choose to not let them be….

Denial is the devils playground. Don’t let him play in your backyard! Get the help you need now so that you can live a healthy and gracious life.

If you know someone who would benefit from mentoring or some programs that need facilitators for seminars or workshops let me know! I am able to travel as well. Email me: javaniamwebb at gmail dot com

Five Love Languages: Score

20120619-091409.jpg

Picture taken from screen shot on my iPad and this book was purchased with my own money.

Two weeks ago I blogged that I was currently reading ‘The Five Love Languages’ Single Edition and everyone I come across I have told them about this book because I feel that you need to know who you fully are to completely experience life. I wish I would have known about this book sooner because my relationships family, platonic and romantic could have been better. I now know!

I told you all that I would come back and reveal my Primary and Secondary Love Language. The Five different Love Languages are:

1. Words of Affirmation
2. Quality Time
3. Receiving Gifts
4. Acts of Service
5. Physical Touch

I immediately knew mine were Physical Touch and Quality Time.

My scores are:
Quality Time 11
Physical Touch 10
Acts of Service 5
Word of Affirmation 3
Receiving Gifts 1

The highest number you can have is 12 for one category. So that’s pretty powerful to me. I was never able to explain to my friends and past relationships why I needed so much time and to be close. I now know, of course my friends are used to that now because that’s just me…… But moving forward for romantic relationships, there will be issues if that my special person doesn’t try or learn to OR chooses not to speak my love language. and if it’s the latter that means they aren’t the one for me… Period. This knowledge of love language goes both ways also, you (I) need to learn the languages of our friends, co-workers and loved ones! I am actually going to figure out my co-workers because we have to be together for eight hours and it’s best if we make it worth while…

Can you share in the comment section your Love Language if you know it and if you don’t know it I suggest getting this copy if you’re single or picking up the relationship copy if married or in a serious relationship… Thank me later! 🙂
